Long-term collaborators. David Zee and Daniele Nuti (right), Professor of Otolaryngology at the University of Siena in Italy have been meeting in Siena annually for more than 25 years. Dave joined Tartuca, Daniele’s contrada. There are 17 contradas (local districts) in Siena. They compete fierecely twice each year during the summer in a famous horse race (the Palio) three times around the town square. Here David Zee has just been “baptized” into the Contrada with about 25 others who were mostly under the age of 2 years
